NOTICE OF INTENT - SOLE SOURCE

GIANT VOICE. The NAICS Code is 334290. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) (see attached sole source justification). The proposed sole source is American Signal Corporation (ASC). The purchase is to troubleshoot, supply replacement parts of Giant Voice and new configuration parts along with the installation and programming work in an existing Giant Voice system. ASC will provide Operational & Administrator Training on the system at Nellis AFB. Also, ASC will perform maintenance inspections on the Giant Voice system and recommend any further work needed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads "FA486118QR130, GIANT VOICE" Note that e-mail filters at Nellis AFB are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e., .exe, or .zip files). Therefore, if this subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters. Also be advised that .zip or .exe files are not allowable attachments and may be deleted by the e-mail filters at Nellis AFB.
