Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, FL is seeking potential vendors capable of providing laboratory for training students on the Global Maritime and Safety System (GMDSS) for the Egyptian Naval College to provide student instruction and testing on the rules of preventing collision at sea. The GMDSS lab system should be capable of simulating the following communication equipment: NAVTEX Terminal; TELEX Terminal; Standard-A/B Satellite Terminals; Standard-C Satellite Terminal with Enhanced Group Calling (EGC); VHF radio; VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC); MF/HF Single Side Band (SSB) radio telephone and Narrow Band Direct Printing (NBDP); MF/HF DSC; 406 MHz Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) deployment; and 9 GHz Search and Rescue Radar Transponder (SART) deployment. Included will be a debriefing room with PC-based software to simulate Radar /ARPA for teaching the students and testing them for the Rules of Preventing Collision at the Sea, a Large Screen Display and an Instructor Station that records/plays back all scenarios and communications.
