This synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, a synopsis of a solicitation, a commitment on the part of the Government to later publish a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors to provide a Gore-Tex jackets that bear the Presidential Sealed items that will be worn by the members of the Presidential Airlift Group (PAG).  The Gore-Tex shall be with a draw cord closing hood, two-way closure front entry, slide fastener underarm openings, fastener tape adjustable wrist tabs, and elasticized windskirt bottom

The Gore-Tex jacket should be constructed by MIL-DTL-32184 with the fabric PD 95-04 being used. The Gore-Tex will be waterproof, moisture-vapor-permeable, and has a foldaway hood. The Gore-Tex is also a component of the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS).

Interested sources capable of providing this requirement must respond by e-mail to [email protected], referencing Gortex Jackets, no later than 18 November, 2016 at 8:00AM EST.  Interested sources shall indicate whether they are capable of providing the subject requirement, how long after issuance of a purchase order would it take to complete the requirement, and furthermore indicate their size and status (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.).

No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. This source sought synopsis is not a Request for Quote (RFQ); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources.
