Sealed bids for the GRIFFIN ROAD IMPROVEMENT Project, will be received at the Front Desk of Cameron City Hall, 205 North Main Street Cameron, MO 64429 until 2:00 PM on April 20, 2023. At which time the bids will be opened and publicly read in the City Council Chamber at 205 North Main Street, Cameron, MO 64429. All bids shall be submitted in paper form (“hard copy”). The proposed work includes Construction on Griffin Road Between Evergreen Street and Grand Avenue. Improvements will include, overlay of the existing gravel road along with widening of the road. There will also be ditches added along the road to manage runoff and flooding. Bidding documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related charges. Corporate, certified, or cashier’s checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies, Inc. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid according to prevailing wage rates of work of a similar character for this locality according to the State Wage Rate. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on this public works project are required to provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. A bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. The project will be awarded to the lowest, best, and most responsive bidder. The City of Cameron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technical formalities, and to negotiate with any responding Contractor or third-party to ensure that the City receives the best pricing available. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
