The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Regional Acquisition, Norfolk, VA on behalf of National Weather Service, Caribou, Maine, is soliciting a requirement for grounds maintenance services at its Caribou, Maine Weather Forecast Office. The primary objective of the grounds maintenance is to provide the following services: aeration and dethatching, edging, fertilizing, grass mowing, lime, mulching, pruning, trimming, and weeding, for the purpose of maintaining the landscaping of the Weather Forecast Office.
The purchase order of the service agreement will be a Total Small Business Set Aside in accordance with FAR 6.202(a)(3).The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561730.
The total period of performance for all work specified in the Statement of Work is May 1, 2013 through October 31, 2017 (including four option years).
This contract may be established to satisfy the requirement on a temporary basis until the required services can be added to the AbilityOne Procurement List. If these services are added to the Procurement List, then the option years will be awarded directly to an AbilityOne contractor in accordance with 14 U.S.C. 46-48c.
Solicitation number EA-133W-13-RQ-0295 will be issued March 28, 2013 and will close April 11, 2013.
The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors specified in the solicitation.
Site visits will help April 9, 2013 at 10am.
All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated award date is on or about April 15, 2013.
