The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to award a Purchase Order for one each (1 ea) Accessory Set for GTCP85-180L (part number BH29135-7), one each (1 ea) Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Test Set (part number H296G-2) and one (1) three year (3 yr) spares package to support the APU Test Set. The anticipated award will be made to Howell Instruments, located in Fort Worth, Texas. NAVAIR intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-4. The spares shall be acquired from Howell Instruments who is the only source of the technical data, and it is critical to ensure product compatibility. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
