NASA/JSC has a requirement for Detonating Booster Assemblies (DBA) and FlexibleConfined Detonating Cord Assemblies (FCDCA) as follows:24 EA PART NUMBER D10521-1 DETONATING BOOSTER ASSEMBLIES3 EA PART NUMBER D10521-1 DETONATING BOOSTER ASSEMBLIES20 EA PART NUMBER D10448B1-T048 FCDCA TEST LEADS NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBAD).The DBA needed are proprietary and are only available from EBAD. This hardware is alreadyutilized as the baseline design for the Orion manned Flight Vehicle. Only EBAD will meetthe needed test requirements to verify proper performance. The FCDCA needed have a uniqueinterface connection that is base-lined in the design of the NASA Docking System (NDS)per Boeing specification 684-016643, therefore, only the EBAD interface connection willmeet the needed test requirements to verify proper performance. These items can only bepurchased directly from Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to Jessica Miller at
