The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in Milwaukee, WI is searching for vendors with the capability to provide semi-annual routine elevator and dumbwaiter inspections, perform Annual Category 1 elevator/dumbwaiter periodic inspection and safety tests, and one (1) Five Year Load Test of elevators and dumbwaiters at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, 325 H Street, Iron Mountain, Michigan 49801. All inspections shall be conducted in accordance with the latest editions of ASME A17.1 and all current elevator requirements and standards. The inspectors and inspection supervisor shall meet the qualification requirements of the ASME QEI-1. The inspectors supervisor shall also be QEI-1 qualified. The inspector and inspection supervisor shall be employed on a permanent basis by the Contractor awarded this contract. All interested, responsible sources must submit a brief summary of their capabilities to this office by Noon on Thursday, January 10, 2019 to include detailed description of the firm s experience in providing this service, DUNS number, name and phone number of a point of contact in case further information is needed.
