The purpose of this project is to perform a one-time Gas Leak Survey of the Pope AFB Natural Gas Distribution System. The contractor will sample the air at ground level for the presence of gas with a Flame Ionization Pack. The 43D Civil Engineering Squadron (43D CES/CEOIU) will provide the contractor gas line location information such as gas distribution maps. Project will include leak survey of all regulators and piping above and below ground – approximately 17 miles of gas mains. Leaks will be graded in accordance with the ANSI/GPTC Z380 guidelines. The contractor shall provide a report of inspection and locations tested, and identify areas and findings to the 43D CES/CEOIU after work is completed. Work to be accomplished on the installation must meet all North Carolina Plumbing codes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 221210 with an appli-cable business size standard of 500 employees.
