The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) to Xylem Inc., 4828 Parkway Plaza Blvd #200, Charlotte, NC, 28217-1957, for YSI exo data sondes and probes. The US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Environmental Laboratory (EL) currently has a need for six (6) YSI EXO data sondes and water quality probes.  Xylem Incorporated is the manufacturer and the only vendor capable of providing this equipment.

The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334516.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement.  However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar supply.  All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
