Notice is hereby given that The Hancock County Board of Commissioners will let a contract to a single, responsible, qualified, general contractor, bidder by sealed bids submitted to the office of the Hancock County Commission Office, 12630 Broad Street, Sparta, Georgia 31087, no later than 10:00 a.m., local time TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 08, 2023, for the renovations to the Hancock County Recreation Department as outlined in the Construction Documents and Project Manual. Any bids to be mailed should be addressed to the above address and marked as “Hancock County Recreation Renovation”. Bid Documents can be obtained online by sending an email request to
[email protected] Additionally, drawings will be on-file with the plan rooms No copies will be printed or mailed. Bidders are responsible for accessing PDF files online and having prints made. Additionally, all Bidders are responsible to check the Architect’s FTP Site periodically for any Addenda that have been issued. The project is funded, in part, by a Community Development Block Grant. Bidders must comply with all Department of Community Affairs requirements, wage rates, etc. and must not be on the debarred list. Section 3 employment procedures must be followed as well. Refer to the CDBG Clauses in the project manual. Bidders are to provide Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act Affidavit at the time of bid proposal as well as a Bid Bond. Omission of any of these completed forms can make the bidder non-responsive.
