This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFQ-9-5430-020-00221 and is issued as a request for quotation and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through FAC 2005-32. The NACIS code applicable to this acquisition is 424910. The small business size standard is 100 employees. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business.
The USDA, ARS intends to procure approximately 14,434 bushes of U.S. No. 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat, untreated commodity. Moisture specs (+/-) approx ý percent, moisture not to exceed 12.5%. Quantity requested is an estimate. Exact number of bushes ordered will depend on the price of the grain.
Delivery will be FOB Destination to USDA-ARS-NPA-GMPRC, 1515 College Ave, Manhattan KS 66502. Vendor shall contact the location 1-2 days prior to delivery. Quoted price shall include delivery costs.

The government anticipates award of a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the specifications that will be the most advantageous to the government in accordance with FAR 13.106-2.
