The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD intends to issue a delivery order against BOA N00019-11-G-0013 to Telephonics, Corp., 815 Broad Hollow Road, Farmingdale, NY 11735 on an other than full and open competition basis for the hardware procurement of the enhanced Mobile Equipment (eME) Metalized Junction Boxes (JBox), part number JB6881-M2. Telephonics, Corp. is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the AWICS TruLink system, as a result only Telephonics, Corp. has the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data required to meet the Government's requirements on a timely basis. Therefore, a sole source acquisition will be pursued under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by Naval Air Systems Command.
