THIS SYNOPSES IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command; Aircraft Division(NAWCAD) (AIR 2.5.1.3), Patuxent River, MD 20670-1127 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Morehouse Instruments Company, 1742 Sixth Ave, York, PA 17403-2643, which produces a Proving Ring set that covers ranges from one thousand to one hundred thousand LBF and are used with nine NAVAIR workload Instrument Calibration Procedures (ICP's). Specifically, these Proving Rings are used to calibrate NAVAIR fleet standards using the existing Morehouse 100,000 Universal Calibrator and consist of models 1000-1K, 1000-10K, 1000-30K, 1000-60K, 1000-100K, with one quantity of each. This aquisition is in support of the NAVAIR METROLOGY CALIBRATION Program with AIR 4.1. This action is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(C)(1) As sited in FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will statisfy agency requirements."
