The Broadcasting Board of Governors, Office of Contracts located at 330 Independence Ave., SW Washington, DC 20237 intends to issue a Brand Name contract to Harmonic Inc. 4300 N. 1st Street San Jose, CA 95134-1258 in the amount of $231,316.66.

The contractor shall provide Harmonic Annual Premium Hardware and Software P/N SLAPR12R3. Harmonic Inc. and authorized resellers of Harmonic Inc. are the only sources capable of providing the support services for the Harmonic MediaGrid Enterprise storage unit. The service plan will cover Harmonic hardware and software that are already installed at the BBG.

Market research conducted on the Internet resulted in Harmonic Inc. and authorized resellers of Harmonic are the only sources capable of providing the Harmonic Software.
The recommended sources are Harmonic Inc., Advanced Systems Group, LLC and Digital Glue. The award was competed amongst the three vendors and was awarded to the lowest price.

This notice of Intent is not a request for competitive price proposals. Interested firms must submit a written response that demonstrates their ability to provide the above. Also, interested firms must state how they would fulfill the requirement above and include appropriate documentation.

The written response must be submitted to Malita M. Dyson, Contract Specialist, by May 28, 2018, 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time via email [email protected]. All attachments must be sent in "PDF Format" and include the solicitation number in the subject line. Please note the total size of all attachments must not exceed 23MB.
