The scope of work for the Hazel G. Cook Elementary School pedestrian improvements and Kellogg Elementary School Pedestrian Improvements consists of the installation of curb extensions, enhanced crosswalks, pedestrian ramps to comply with current ADA raised medians along Cuyamaca Avenue and East Naples Street, and signage on Cuyamaca Avenue and Melrose Avene. The project also proposes traffic signal modification for a protected left turn lane at East L Street onto Cuyamaca Avenue and updated crosswalk striping. This modification includes removal of existing and replacing with new traffic signal standards, mast arms, vehicle detections, pedestrian push buttons, signs, pull boxes, and conduit. Scope of this project also includes pavement striping and markings, traffic control, protection and restoration of existing improvements, and other miscellaneous work.
