The following items were discussed during the pre-bid conference or questions were submitted after the completion of the conference: Q1: The floor plan provided as Attachment A in the bid package shows the work area ending at the bottom of the last course of stairs and does not include the landing at the bottom of the stairs. This area has windows and glass doors not reflected in Attachment A. Should our quote include that area as well? A1: Yes, please include the cleaning of the windows and glass doors located at the base of the bottom stairway in your proposal. Q2: Item D.7 under Specifications states that the paint to cover the gypsum surfaces will be provided by the County. How many coats of paint will we be required to apply to any painted surfaces? A2: Contractor shall apply two (2) coats of paint to any surface requiring painting. Q3: The slotted diffusers in the middle of the ceiling and along the windows are covered with dust. Is the cleaning of the diffusers part of this project as well? A3: Yes, Contractor shall clean the diffusers and paint them with two (2) coats of paint to be provided by the County. Q4: Section D.9, Specifications, states that work may be performed between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Will the County assist in directing the pedestrian traffic away from the stairs and general work area and may we work after hours during the week and weekend if necessary to expedite the project? A4: The County would prefer that the work be done during standard work hours but would be willing to make arrangements to provide Contractor with access to the interior of the facility outside of those hours. Pedestrians may access the lower level of the Government Center via the available elevators so access to the work area will be restricted to authorized personnel only. Contractor shall provide all necessary safety measures as listed in Section D.9, Specifications. Q5: The external window surfaces are dirty as well. Is the external cleaning of the window surfaces part of this bid? A5: The cleaning of the external window surfaces was not originally part of this project. However, the County would be interested in receiving a price quote for the optional cleaning of the windowâs exterior under the existing specifications. To ensure the safety of individuals entering and leaving the Government Center, this cleaning must take place outside standard, Monday-Friday, 8:00am â 5:00pm work hours.
