THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUIEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025917N0021. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available: Sorin Group USA Inc. 14401 W. 65th Way, Arvada, CO 80004-3503. The objective of this sole source award is to purchase consumables for the Sorin S5 Heart-Lung Machine and the Sorin ATS System: PrimO2X SMA OPTI Pack Naval Medical Center; Procedure Set BX/125 (without bottom outlet reservoir); and Single use PC Revolution Blood Pump Cones. Sole source is based on the Sorin Group's ability to provide consumables compatible with the government owned equipment currently in use at NMCSD. These items are the only consumables that work with the current equipment and the perfusionist is trained to use. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112; the small business size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however interested persons may identity their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 08:00 AM Pacific time on December 20, 2016 may be considered by the government. Responses shall be submitted to John Freeman at [email protected].
