THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ).  THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES AND IS NOT TO BE CONTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT, NOR WILL THE GOVERNMENT PAY FOR INFORMATION SOLICITED.  FUNDS FOR THIS PROJECT ARE NOT ON HAND, BUT ARE EXPECTED WTHIN NEXT 30 DAYS.  SINCE THIS A RFI, NO EVALUATION LETTERS AND/OR RESULTS WILL BE ISSUED TO THE RESPONDENTS.  THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT COMMITED TO AWARD A TASK ORDER PURSUANT TO THIS RFI.  NO RFP PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

ACOUSTICAL UPGRADE: The Government is specifically seeking businesses that are interested and capable of conducting an acoustic analysis of the Mackenzie Room (located at 7701 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22315, in the Kingman Building at the Humphries Engineer Center ), providing a report with recommendations for reverberation control, and carrying out an acoustical treatment solution to redress the reverberation issues of the room. Information resulting from this RFI will be used to help determine any possible set asides for possible future RFQ.   Please see the attached draft Statement of Objective (SOO) and pictures for details regarding this requirement. NAICS code for this requirement is 238310, Drywall and Insulation Contractors, size standard is $16.5 million. PSC code for this requirement is Z112, Maintenance, Repair or Alteration of Conference Space & Facilities. The Government anticipates that this project can be realized well under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT).
