The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to issue a sole source contract for the procurement of 60 of the MX5+ HD Ladder system (P/N: MX5-KITA-USN, NIIN LLERG8852),  quantity 60 of the MXPS Service Deck (P/N MXPS-SD-KIT-USN, NIIN LLERG8853) and quantity 60 of the 4 foot extension (P/N MX-4EXT-USN), in support of the AH-1Z and UH-1Y helicopter programs. The anticipated award will be made to Blue Moon Designs (CAGE: 74XBO).  Blue Moon holds the proprietary rights to the drawings, specifications and data necessary to provide the required support equipment to meet the form, fit and function required of this requirement.  NAVAIR intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
