The Work under this Contract consists of controlled burning, invasive vegetation management, woody species control, and supplementing species by various management means to promote stability and ecological habitat enhancement. The District is seeking to hire a contractor for an approximate three-year period (plus a possible two-year extension) to accomplish the contract goals between contract award (Approximately November, 2021) and December 31, 2024. However, funding will be subject to the Board of Commissioners Budget and Appropriations Ordinance and subsequent to annual encumbrance for contract obligations. The Project boundaries will focus on Herrick Lake Forest Preserve and work will consist of both lump sum and time and material Work.
