THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c) (1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Reference Number is W91ZRU-11-T-0004. The 176th Contracting Squadron intends to make an award to GENTEX Corporation, 324 Main Street, Simpson PA 18407 for upgrades to the HGU-56/P aircrew helmet to include (10) C7626 Maxillo Facial Shields w/hardware, (40) A9416 inner visors, (10) A9302-3 outer visors, and (30) A9302-1 outer visors. In accordance with (IAW) FAR Part 8.405-6: The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms that believe they can provide similar required items must provide supporting evidence to the Contracting Officer that they meet all specifications and can furnish these items. Reference Solicitation W91ZRU-11-T-0004. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation/request for quotation and a written solicitation will not be issued.
