This is a sole source requirement inasmuch as Advanced Measurement Technology / ORTEC AMETEK has proprietary rights to the design utilized in the instrument. As OEM, only Advanced Measurement Technology / ORTEC AMETEK has access to performance verified componentry, spare parts and engineering resources to return the detector to the original operating specifications. Furthermore, Advanced Measurement Technology / ORTEC AMETEK service engineers are the only certified and factory trained engineers available to perform major physical modifications to the detector. A firm fixed-price purchase order to acquire the repair service will be negotiated and issued on or about 20 Sep 2019 for a 6-month performance period and include (1) optional item to cover replacement of the crystal if it is determined to be damaged pending repair of the bellows. No solicitation package will be issued.
This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Inquiries will only be accepted via e-mail to [email protected]. The government will consider responses received by 5:00PM, EST, 5 Sep 2019. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. This Notice of Intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition. No telephone requests will be honored.
