The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act), provides opportunities to improve the nation's health care through health information technology (HIT) by promoting the meaningful use of electronic health records (EHR) via incentives. The HIT provisions of the Recovery Act are found primarily in the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act or the HITECH Act.
The purpose of this task order is to describe the requirements to be performed in support of the CMCS HITECH team in tis efforts to assist States in consistent and strategic oversight and in auditing the providers participating in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.
