Competition for this requirement is Set-Aside for small business. Offers received from other than small business offerors will not be considered. When available, the solicitation documents for this project W912EF-19-Q-0090 will be provided via FedBizOpps.gov https://www.fbo.gov on or around June 24, 2019. Please do not submit a quote without the solicitation package that will be provided to industry by the Government. The solicitation will be a Request for Quote (RFQ). The official quotation due date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued.
SCOPE OF WORK
New pump shall replace the existing Fairbanks-Morse propeller pump model 6310, 2-stage, 1160 rpm, 12,000 gmp at 40 feet TDH for the purpose of unwatering the Navigation Lock by pumping water from an unwatering sump into the downstream navigation channel. Water pumped will not exceed 70 degrees F, will be relatively turbid, and may contain sand, silt, and vegetative trash. Pump will be driven with existing 200 hp, 1160 rpm vertical hollow shaft motor.
The proposed pump shall be an in-kind replacement and shall require no major modifications, alterations, or additions to the existing sump and discharge configuration. Pump must be capable of being lowered through sump openings shown on the FIO drawing, with a minimum of 1-inch clearance around each side.
The individual requirements for this purchase will be provided in more detail when the solicitation becomes available to industry.
All items shall be delivered FOB to Ice Harbor Lock and Dam within 40 weeks of contract award.
