The USDA, Agriculture Marketing Service, Cotton and Tobacco Programs plans to award a sole-source commercial item contract to Hewlett Packard Company, Atlanta, Georgia. The contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 12. The contract will be for NonStop Professional Services to upgrade the Operating System (OS) and the console management software on 14 of the Cotton and Tobacco Programs HP Nonstop servers. The 14 NonStop servers were originally purchased from Hewlett Packard in the spring of 2002. HP currently provides all maintenance for these servers. Hewlett Packard is the only known vendor who can provide this upgrade. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. Requests for a solicitation will be ignored.
