Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is seeking eligible contractors to perform High Pressure Air Compressor (HPAC) maintenance.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Government intends to solicit for the GROOM of #1 and #2 HPAC onboard naval 688 class submarines. The Government does not possess the proprietary information needed to maintain and repair the system. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) does not release the drawing or the proprietary knowledge to third party companies or the Government.
All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 5 days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
