Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility intends to award a contract to RIX Industries, the original equipment manufacturer, to provide technical support services. RIX Industries has been found to be the only vendor that can perform this type of work onboard naval 774 classs submarines while meeting the militrary/Navy's standards. RIX Industries owns the proprietary drawings required to service the equipment and do not release the drawings or other proprietary knowledge to third-party companies.
