The U.S. Forest Service is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone, Small Business concerns or Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business concerns. The estimated value of this procurement is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. NAICS: 236220 - , the small business size standard is $31.0 Million. The acquisition is for the demolition of 5 existing toilet/shower buildings, the construction of 5 new replacement toilet/shower buildings, and the paving of 23 camp parking spurs. The work includes the demolition of 5 wood shower/toilet buildings of approx. 450 sq ft (each), constructing 5 replacement shower/toilet building of approx 1,178 sq ft (each), providing new utility connections or upgrading existing utility connections, misc. site work, and the paving of approx 17300 sq ft of 4 inch paving over 6 inch granular fill at 23 camp parking spurs. The performance period is 730 days and is expected to begin on or about September 15, 2008. The acquisition is expected to be issued under full and open competition procedures under the Competitive Demonstration Program.. However, in accordance with (1) FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified, or (2) FAR 19.14: if your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, or (3) FAR 19.502-2 (b) (1), if your firm is a Small Business, and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by email to [email protected] or by fax at (812 )279-3423. In your response please include: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope. Please include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. At least three and no more than five references are requested. Your response is required by 4:00 (Eastern time) on June 27, 2008. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone, Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran-owned set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in this requirement being solicited under the Competitive Demonstration Program seeking full and open competition. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone set aside, a Small Business set aside, a Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business Set-Aside, or an unrestricted procurement will be posted on FEDBIZOPS.
