Red River Army Depot (RRAD), Texarkana, TX, intends to award a multiyear single source commercial contract for new manufactured Runflats for the Husky VMMD. Contract is for an estimated 3,000 ea. Runflats. Negotiations to be conducted solely with Hutchinson Industries Inc. as the only company currently authorized to manufacture the Runflats for the Husky VMMD. Runflats Technical Data Package is proprietary to Hutchinson Industries, Inc.

The award has an approved Justification and Approval for a single source. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements per FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B): Unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency’s requirements.

The solicitation is prepared on a Standard Form (SF)1449, and it can be made available upon request. There is currently no TDP available for the public.
