If selected, the steel superstructure bridge shall be perched on a concrete grade beam foundation. Work shall consist of, but is not limited to, structure excavation, placement of Class 6 riprap, installation of steel beams, timber glued-laminated deck panels, and timber running planks, excavation and embankment of the roadway approaches and road surfacing.
Project Location: This project is located on the Bonners Ferry Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle National Forest on F.S. Road No. 2266 at milepost 0.94 approximately 25 air miles north of Bonners Ferry, Idaho within Boundary County. Latitude and longitude at the site is 48.912877, -116.254050.
Project Timing: The solicitation shall be issued in late June with award planned for late July. Notice to Proceed will be issued in the fall of 2016 to facilitate the contract submittal process and provide ample time for ordering bridge components. Site work shall begin approximately July 10, 2017. No in-stream work will be allowed before July 15 or after March 1 of any construction year. Contractor will be allowed to close FSR-2266 to all through traffic for one, continuous 2 week period once approved by the Contracting Officer; this will prevent operations from impeding ongoing logging operations in the project area. All work under this contract shall be completed by October 30, 2017.
Estimated Price Range: The estimated price range for the total project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
