Bonners Ferry Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests (IPNF) will solicit for Spring Creek AOP. This project includes removal of an existing 18 inch culvert and replacing with a larger 72 inch diameter that is countersunk by approximately 3 feet. Constructing a stream channel through the pipe and installing grade controlling within the culvert. Work also includes reconstructing the road to maintain a minimum cover over the culvert, installing a new 18 inch ditch relief culvert near the site and resurfacing the reconstructed section of road over the two new culverts. This work includes acquiring Stream Bed material and Class 4 Riprap from two separate government source areas and hauling the material. The project location may be reached by taking HWY 95 north out of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Travel along highway 95 north for approximately 3 miles and turn east (right) onto HWY 2 at the Three Mile Junction. Continue East for approximately 2 miles and turn North (left) onto Meadow Creek Road (County road #34). Follow Meadow Creek Road for nearly 10.8 miles from the highway intersection. After crossing the Moyie River, turn East (right) onto Deer Creek Road (Forest Service Road #2541). Follow along the Deer Creek Road after approximately 1.1 miles to the junction with Forest Service Road #2540. Turn North (left) onto Forest Service Road #2540 and continue northbound until arrived at project area. The Project Site is at 48°50'5.90"N, 116° 8'13.00"W in Section 1, T63N, R2E, Boise Meridian. Price range between $25,000 and $100,000. Estimated start July 15, 2015 with 30 days contract time. Solicitation to be issued on or around June 18, 2015.
