This is a sources sought synopsis in support of a market survey being conducted by the 11th Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, MD 20762 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10, Market Research, to determine interest and capabilities of potential sources to provide an iDesign Advanced Wavescan Studio System.

This synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, a synopsis of a solicitation, a commitment on the part of the Government to later publish a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract. The Government will not reimburse the costs of preparing or submitting a response to this synopsis.

The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors to provide:

iDesign Advanced Wavescan Studio System - The iDesign should contain the Abbot Medical Optics iDesign Advanced Wavescan Studio custom software that can interface via USB stick with the STAR S4 IR Laser. It must be able to perform Wavefront aberrometry, Wavefront refraction, corneal topography, keratometry, and pupillometry. The iDesign needs to have the ability to treat patients as young as 18 years old. Measure and treat refractive error greater than five (5) diopters and capture pupil measurements within a range of 4.0-9.5mm.

Interested sources capable of providing this requirement must respond by e-mail to Ms. Lakisha Holston at [email protected] , referencing iDesign Advanced Wavescan Studio System no later than Tuesday, 12 February 2019 at 12:00 PM EST.

Interested sources shall indicate whether they are capable of providing the subject requirement, how long after issuance of a purchase order would it take to complete the requirement, and indicate their size and status (i.e., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.).

No other information is required at this time. Based upon the responses received, the Government will determine the set-aside method for the procurement. An award will not be made on offers received in response to this notice. This source sought synopsis is not a Request for Quote (RFQ); it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of sources.
