The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron at Hurlburt Field FL intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Chemring Energetic Devices, for Line Item 0001: 4 each Omega 1(PN 01.000145); 0002: 1 each Omega 1 IED Ignition System (PN CAB5.103915); 0003: IED Cable Kit (PN CAB.000003); 0004: 6 each Dual Output Receiver (PN 060.003921); 0005: 6 each Handheld Transmitter (PN 060.003920).  This award is restricted to Chemring Energetic Devices and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 334510 with a small business size standard of 500. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 13.501 the government believes that Omega IED Simulators are patented and proprietary commercial products that can only be acquired through Chemring Energetic Devices. This notice is NOT a request for quote. However, interested companies shall submit to the contracting officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length, single spaced, and 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services at or before 11:00 AM (central), 3 September 2010.
