Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, insurance and personnel to: provide DSH with non-emergency medical transportation services on an as-needed basis; to assist the medical staff at State Hospitals in providing the highest quality of medical care reasonable and consistent with available resources; and to assure that appropriate clinical evaluations and documentation meet the requirements and standards set forth by Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations regarding community care licensing, the Joint Commission, and the Department of Justice. Non-Emergency Medical Transportation services shall include both local and long-distance transportation. Local transportation services will be classified as travel to other DSH contracted hospital zero (0) to thirty (30) miles from DSH-Patton. Long distance transportation services will be classified as travel to any DSH contracted hospitals over thirty (30) miles from DSH-Patton. Transportation vehicles shall include wheelchair and gurney transports. Contractor¿s staff shall be trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and may be required to assist with medical needs as clinically indicated.
