The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to purchase iHawk Hardware and Software Maintenance on a sole make and model basis as specified in the attached Sole Make and Model Justification (SMMJ). As shown in the attached, Items 1 through 15 are Sole Make and Model only, no substitutions allowed.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334111. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. Concurrent Computer Corporation is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the iHawk real-time simulation computers and RedHawk software tools that have been integrated into the Weapons Analysis Facility to support hardware-in-the-loop simulations for Heavyweight & Lightweight torpedo programs. As the OEM, they are the only source with the technical knowledge and necessary licenses needed to maintain the hardware and provide software support. They provide 24 hour, 7 days a week telephone support on software, new software upgrades, documentation updates, and trained personnel to perform the required technical services in a timely basis. No other manufacturer has the expert knowledge of the hardware or the required licenses to maintain and update the software.
