THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH (NIH), National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) for the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is seeking a contractor to provide Illumina reagents and consumables for use in Illumina manufactured BeadArray⢠Systems, BeadXpress⢠Systems, Cluster Stations, Genome Analyzers, and iScan Systems for the NIH Community.
The solicitation number NHLBI-PB(HG)-2010-052, will be issued as a request for proposal (RFP) on or about March 1, 2010 with a thirty (30) day response period.
The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System code 334516 â Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees.
A fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, requirements type contract award is planned.
This requirement is for the acquisition of Illumina, Inc., 9885 Towne Centre Drive, San Diego, CA 92121-1975, manufactured reagents and consumables.
Market research conducted by the Government through the issuance of a sources sought small business synopsis posted in the FedBizOpps on January 6, 2010 with a response date of February 1, 2010, has determined that there is no reasonable expectation of receiving two (2) or more offers from small business third-party resellers that are capable of providing the products listed herein of a large business manufacturer. Therefore, the acquisition is being conducted on an unrestricted basis.
