The U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Chris Reeve Knives, Inc. (CRK) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304-(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This acquistion seeks to modify an existing contract and increase the number of items originally purchased from 816 knives under the second optional period to 1,000 knives. This increase fills an immediate need based on an increased number of students graduating the Special Forces Qualification Course.

This notice is not a request for offers. CRK, Inc is the original manufacturer of the Yarborough knives and currently under contract to provide the knives. A determination not to compete the proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable NAICS code is 332215. The Government will not pay for any information submitted.
