This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is RFQ9132 and is being issued as a Request for Quote. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a small business concern. All responsible sources may submit a quotation that will be considered by the agency. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334516, which has a business size standard of 500. The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to procure a High Speed Flow Cytometer Cell Sorting System that offers Accudrop technology, require no user optical alignment, laser alignment or laser focus, and a cloning unit to sort regions for different wells within the same 96 well plate with the ability to chill or heat the 96 well trays . The following instrument and products may be acquired under this acquisition: Item/Description/Quantity: 1) High Speed Flow Cytometer Cell Sorting System (Qty-1), to include the following: fixed alignment gel coupled cuvette flow cell, fluidics cart, 488 nm, 638nm, 532nm, and 405nm lasers, 20 parameters, Forward Scatter, Side Scatter, 2 fluorescent detectors off 488 nm laser (100mw) plus side scatter, 3 fluorescent detectors off 638nm laser (200mw), 5 fluorescent detectors off 532nm green laser (150mw) and 8 fluorescent detectors off the 405nm laser (100mw). Laser Control Software for the following Coherent lasers (Blue, Red, Violet, and Green) as well as monitoring key performance parameters of the Coherent lasers. Viewing microscope and camera, fluidics cart to include sheath, waste, and cleaning containers 70-, 85-, 100-, 130- micron nozzle tips, Two- and four-way sorting into microtubes, 12 x 75-mm, and 15 mL tubes, Sample injection chamber for various sample input tubes, including microtubes, 12 x 75-mm, and 15 mL tubes. Includes sample agitation and temperature control, Automated Cell Deposition Unit (ACDU), Optical filters to detect fluorophores - Blue laser, SSC, FITC (505LP; 515/20, 535/633/785rb), PerCp Cy5.5 (690LP; 710/50); Red Laser - APC (660/20), APC Cy5.5 (685LP; 710/50), APC CY7 (735LP; 780/60) high performance PMT; Green Laser - PE (575/25), PE Texas Red (600LP; 610/20), PE Cy5 (635LP; 660/40), PE Cy5.5 (685LP; 710/50), PE CY7 (755LP; 780/40); Violet Laser - Pacific Blue/Alexa 405 (450/50), AmCyan (505LP; 525/50), Qdot 565 (535LP; 560/40), Qdot 585 (570LP; 585/42), Qdot 605 (595LP; 605/40), Qdot 655 (630LP; 660/40), Qdot 705 (685LP; 710/50), Qdot 800 (755LP; 780/60) and HP Computer orkstation (qty-1) includes: Intel Core Duo 2.67 GHz, 4MB, 1066MHz FSB(CPU), 128 PCI E Video Card, 2GB DDR2-667 ECC RAM, Dual Hard Drives (80GB and 250GB), 16x DVD +/-RW, 1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive, Network Cards (10/100/1000), Keyboard, USB Optical Mouse, Symantec Norton Ghost, Microsoft Office 2007, Windows XP, 24-INCH LCD Monitor, and Temperature Control Option (115V)- Water recirculator.
