Naval Medical Center San Diego anticipates making a sole source award under statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) and FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (i), only one responsible source, with:
Neuro Kinetics, Inc.

The objective of the sole source award is to procure service maintenance and calibration agreement for the government owned Neuro Kinetics rotary vestibular chair. Sole Source Justification is based on the following: Neuro Kinetics, Inc. is the manufacturer of the equipment that requires service and the vendor's software is protected by various patents and copyrights. The requirement includes the proprietary VEST operating and analysis software and can only be obtained directly from Neuro-Kinetics.

The NAICS code for the requirement is 811219.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received by 4:00 PM Pacific Time on December 30, 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Elizabeth Sanders at [email protected]. "Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment, such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment
shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions."

"A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
