The Internal Revenue Service intends to award a purchase order for commercial items to Decision Modeling, Inc. This purchase order will be a sole source basis under the Authorities of FAR Parts 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source; 11.105 - Items peculiar to one manufacturer; and 52.211-6 - Brand Name or Equal. The purchase order will be fulfilled by the delivery for a 12 month maintenance renewal for the InterestNet Software Unlimited licenses. Modern Information Technology Services (MITS) in response to Section 3301 of the Internal Revenue Service Restructuring and Reform Act of 1998 mandated that the IRS institute net rate interest. Decision Modeling, Inc. (DMI) Automated Computational Tool (ACT) InterestNet Software will perform these calculations in accordance with legislation and court cases. Without the continual maintenance on DMI, we will be unable to support the ongoing tax changes and accurately calculate interest for the taxpayers. The impact to the taxpayer and the IRS could be catastrophic. This purchase order is necessary to sustain ongoing operations. Interested parties that are able to provide the required service must clearly state their capabilities and experience in writing. Proposals must include price, terms conditions and point of contact – name, telephone number, email address and fax number, government contact number (if applicable), performance period, business size, payment terms, tax payer identification number, and Bradstreet number.
