The Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center is soliciting bids for the Interior Finishes/Recreation project with a walk-thru on .  Small business are encouraged to bid.

The intent of this Scope of Work is to correct the interior finishes issues at the Whitney M. Young Job Center.

The Center interior finishes issues include:

Restrooms Finishes Are in Poor Condition


Rehab the restrooms (approximately 500 SF). The interior finish materials shall be ceramic tile floors, and wainscot, and drywall walls and ceiling. The new layout shall include a handicap accessible toilet and sink in each toilet room. Provide one audio-visual fire alarm device (15 cd) in each restroom (2 total) and connect to the existing fire alarm system. 

 

• Suspended Acoustical Ceiling system Is In Poor Condition
  
  Remove and replace the existing suspended ceiling system completely. Replace with new hung suspension system consisting of metal grid laid out in 2' x 4' pattern. Coordinate with existing lights, grilles and louvers. Provide new 2' x 4' mineral base acoustic panels, fissured texture, square edged; 5, 000 SF. Installation is to be in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.

  Floor Finish Is In Poor Condition
  

  Replace existing ceramic tile flooring with a new ceramic flooring, approximately 5,000 SF.
