The following question and answer provide clarification for section C.4 of the PWS:

Question: Regarding the cancellation policy explained in section C.4, do you have an estimation on how frequently assignments conclude prior to the scheduled end time of the assignment?

Answer: Approximately 90% of classes (1-5 day assignments) end 2-3 hours early on the last day. Approximately 50% of the remaining assignments in the 1-4 hour range end early. As noted in C.3.2 of the PWS, interpreters may be reassigned if an assignment concludes early. Historically, classes have accounted for 80% of contract requirements. However, future requirements are dependent upon funding and subject to fluctuation.

***Amendment 1***
This combined synopsis/solicitation is hereby amended as follows:

1. The contract type is corrected to Labor Hour (LH) in lieu of Firm Fixed-Price (FFP).

2.  The response date/time have been extended to 2:00 pm Eastern on 4/8/2014.  This change applies to both quotes and Past Performance questionnaires.

The purpose of this requirement is to obtain interpreting services for DFAS Indianapolis.  See the attachments for complete details.
