This is not a request for quote; this is a notice of the government's intent to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to CMI, inc. pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one source is capable of responding to satisfy the agency's requirements. The US Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) intends to procure an blood and breathe analysis device in order to accurately conduct analysis of breath/blood alcohol levels for evidentiary results to be used command actions, court martials and federal court. The breath analysis device must be the Intoxilyzer 9000 as required per Louisiana state law. Ancillary items associated with this device are not covered under the sole source justification. However, it is required that the ancillary items be fully compatible with the Intoxilyzer 9000 device. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by 13:00 PM 19 April 2018, EST by e-mail to [email protected] or [email protected] . A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. An approved justification document has been attached to this notice for reference.
