This United States Postal Service is seeking a quality air transportation supplier with scanning capabilities to perform line haul air transportation services and the associated ground handling services to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) and St. Croix, U.S Virgin Islands (STX), within the Postal Service Caribbean District. Information regarding air stops, schedule, frequencies, tender, delivery, volume, and other information will be attached to a formal solicitation, which is anticipated to be issued on or about June 23, 2008. The contract will be a fixed-rate per pound for estimated volume based on historical data. One contract award is anticipated with the period of performance beginning on or about August 2, 2008 through March 30, 2012, with one (1) up to 2-year option period.
