The Regional Health Contracting Office – Atlantic (RHCO-A), Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Fort Bragg, NC 28310 has a requirement for Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM). This technique has changed the standards of care for patients by reducing the risk of permanent neurological damage. These processes will be used to help physicians assess potential damage or injury to the spinal cord due to ischemia, de-rotation and to verify the spinal cord pathways are intact. IONM is changing the perception of back surgery through innovative solutions that are minimally disruptive to surrounding tissue. These up-to-date processes monitoring patients, has resulted in reduced surgical times; minimal blood loss; shorter stays, and quicker return to normal activities. Procedures are scheduled for June 2021 through September 2021.
