The US Fish & Wildlife Service plans to issue RFP 140F0520Q0075 to provide invasive vegetation management on approximately 50 acres at Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Price Willam County VA. The treatment areas are patches scattered on the refuge. Areas are in former grassland management units being released to the next successional stage towards forest. The primary targeted plants to treat are Mile-a-minute (Persicaria perfoliata), Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia), and Callery Pear (Pyrus calleryana). The treatments include the three different methods of herbicide applications: basal bark, cut stump, and foliar. Offerors must be have certified applicators to be considered and copy of license must be provided. The anticipated period of performance is September 1, 2020 to July 31, 2022. This RFQ will be posted as a total small business set aside under the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) of 115310 with a small business size standard of 8 mil. Prevailing wages will apply to this project. This will be a firm fixed price award. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation¿s technical requirements and will be in best interest of the government.
