The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk (FLC), Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA intends to negotiate a sole source single award contract with Firm-Fixed-Price provisions and clauses. The instant requirement will utilize the policies and procedures under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 511120 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. A request for quote will be available for download on or about 8 April 2021 under Request for Quotation number N0016121RC028A5 and will be attached to this synopsis.

This requirement is for a one year subscription period for the Institute of Physics (IOP) Corporate Subscription Package in support of the Nimitz Library located at the United States Naval Academy (USNA). The Nimitz Library is an academic library in support of a patron population of approximately 4,520 midshipman, 600 faculty, and 3,000 other staff and military personnel. To meet the academic/educational mission requirements of the Naval Academy, the Nimitz Library subscribes to scholarly content in the form of scholarly journals and databases. This subscription content is an integral part of the Library’s collections and services as curriculum and course development. Additionally, Midshipmen and faculty research are dependent upon them. The anticipated period of performance is for one (1) base period and zero (0) option periods.

The period of performance is anticipated to begin on or around 15 April 2021.

By submitting a quote, the vendor will self-certify that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contract from any federal agency.
