The U.S. Coast Guard intends to award a follow-on sole source contract for Architect-Engineering Services consisting of Design and Engineering Services to the firm AKS P.S. Inc. for the completion of the Kodiak Hangar 2 Clerestory Replacement Project. AKS P.S. Inc. has completed a clerestory replacement study of all 3 hangars and final design for clerestory replacement for the east side of Hangar 2. Project design and detailing will need to be similar to the Hangar 2 solution. AKS is familiar with all hangar clerestory systems and the specific detailing used for Hangar 2. They have knowledge of existing conditions which would result in duplication of costs to the Government that would not be recovered through soliciting competitive proposals for this work.
