The Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) intends to issue solicitation SP0600-08-R-0219 on or about May 23, 2008 for the following multi-year (3 year) requirements: 147,500,000 liters of GASOLINE AUTO PREM UNLEADED (MUP) 9130-00-148-7104, 2,350,000 liters of DIESEL FUEL AUTOMOTIVE , 166,000 liters of MOTOR OIL 15W-50, 535,000 liters of MOTOR OIL 10W-40. This program will supply petroleum products throughout Italy and other islands. The program permits NEX/AAFES customers to purchase coupons that are redeemed at commercial services stations for the purchase of tax free products. All offerors must be licensed by the Italian Government to do business within the mainland of Italy and/or the regional islands of Sardinia and Sicily. DESC anticipates award to multiple-sources to maximize service station coverage. The contract will be an Indefinite Quantity, Fixed Price with Economic Price Adjustments. Each contract minimum will be 1% of the total solicited estimated quantity. The program is administered by DESC-PIA. Special administration for obtaining tax-free product purchase is handled by the NSA (Naval Support Activity) in Naples, Italy.
